Recommendations score every 30-minute window using each participant’s editable working and waking hours. The highest score reduces overall inconvenience and makes early, late, weekend, and next-day effects visible.
Synthetic example: on August 13, 2026, the same instant can display as 9:00 a.m. in New York, 2:00 p.m. in London, and 10:00 p.m. in Tokyo. The Tokyo participant is already near the edge of a typical waking window, while the other two are within daytime hours. Moving the meeting may reduce Tokyo’s inconvenience but make New York earlier, and a later move can cross into the next calendar day elsewhere. The fairness result makes those tradeoffs visible using the selected date’s time-zone rules; the participants still decide which compromise works.
A score cannot know personal obligations, holidays, travel, or one-off availability. Confirm the displayed local date and time with every participant before sending an invitation.
