Using this utility
This planner is for hosts and volunteers who want one editable shopping artifact for category-level food, non-alcoholic drinks, ice, and serving supplies.

Food, drink, and actual-headcount guest math remain separate. The selected format and duration establish each visible rate, appetite changes food only, and the planning buffer is applied before any package yield rounds upward. Estimated need, purchased capacity, and package extra are shown separately.
Synthetic example: if the modeled dessert need is 37 servings and a host enters a package yield of 12 servings, the estimate remains 37 servings. Whole-package buying rounds to 4 packages, purchased capacity becomes 48 servings, and 11 servings are labeled as extra created by package rounding. No retail package size is supplied by Nichessities.
The planner cannot know attendance, individual preferences, recipes, raw-to-cooked yield, package contents, prices, allergens, or safe handling conditions. Review editable assumptions and product labels, and keep food-safety decisions separate from quantity math.
Children default to 0.60 of an adult food portion and 0.75 of drink volume. Teens default to adult-sized portions or can use the visible reduced factor. Every person counts as one for supplies and ice.
The buffer is applied to the modeled need first. Whole packages then round upward, and the additional package capacity is reported separately.
